Fabrics
Our aim is to be an inspiration for others to achieve ethical ecological activewear. No concessions.
As fashion is a big contributor to pollution with microfibers leaking into oceans, millions of unsold clothes and above all: bad labor conditions. With that in mind, Evou wants to contribute to a healthier planet. That is why we only make use of recycled, regenerated and/or ‘green’ fabrics.

Econyl
The base for all of the designs are 2 bi-elastic and sustainable fabrics made of ECONYL® yarn, a 100% regenerated nylon yarn derived from pre and post industrial waste such as discarded fishing nets, carpet fluff (the top part of Nylon carpets which have got to the end of their useful life), tulle etc.: all such materials, once they have reached the end of their useful life, instead of being disposed of in the landfill, are recovered and regenerated by means of a complex chemical-physical process.
It ensures a perfect fit and boasts both an efficient shape retention power over time and the correct muscular compression, due also to its high modulus. Dynamic, lively, strong and high performance. Thanks to its elastic memory, it doesn’t curl when used for the creation of hyper comfortable, free cut, seamless items.

Bluesign
We use an other 2 fabrics with a Bluesign label.
‘BLUESIGN is a system that provides safer and more sustainable environments for people to work in and everyone to live in. Powered by a holistic approach, BLUESIGN traces each textile’s path along the manufacturing process, making improvements at every stage from factory floor to finished product. BLUESIGN changes the environmental impact of textiles for good. As a solution provider and knowledge broker, BLUESIGN acts as an independent verifier to secure trust and transparency.’

Lace (Green Label – Q-Nova – Roica eco-smart)
Lace is what we love to make our designs just a little out of the ordinary. The lace we used is fully made with GRS certified
(Global Recycled Standard) recycled materials including the stretch thanks to the introduction of the unique ROICA™, sustainable yarn part of the ROICA™ Eco-Smart family. It’s a Green Label; 92% PA and 8% EA flat jacquard.
OEKO-TEX Standard 100
STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® is one of the world’s best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. It stands for customer confidence and high product safety.
If a textile article carries the STANDARD 100 label, you can be certain that every component of this article, i.e. every thread, button and other accessories, has been tested for harmful substances and that the article therefore is harmless in human ecological terms. The test is conducted by our independent OEKO-TEX® partner institutes on the basis of our extensive OEKO-TEX® criteria catalog. In the test they take into account numerous regulated and non-regulated substances, which may be harmful to human health. In many cases the limit values for the STANDARD 100 go beyond national and international requirements. The criteria catalog is updated at least once a year and expanded with new scientific knowledge or statutory requirements. It is not easy for manufacturers and customers to keep an overview of the legal situation concerning harmful substances every day. Our experts from the OEKO-TEX® institutes do this for you.
